Research Groups

CAN research is conducted in a variety of settings - basic science, clinical, and collaborative.

Drs. York, Gilbertson, and Lefevre operate basic science labs where seasoned research professionals mentor students in state-of-the-art lab methodologies and equipment. 

Dr. Ward  collaborates with scientists from Utah State, the University  of Utah, and private and non-profit organizations on a variety of research projects

The Human Nutrition Research Group, under the direction of Dr. Lefevre,  conducts clinical trials involving human participants.  These cover a range of investigative techniques including feeding trials, lifestyle reports, or observation studies.
