The reasons for our food choices are not always what they seem.  Convenience of supply, psychological demands to be comforted, and cultural and social interactions are some of the more obvious influences.  But research has begun to identify additional biological and genetic determinates that are equally important to understand.

 

The American Heart Association has released an official statement recommending decreased intake of added sugars.  Dr. Michael Lefevre co-authored the statement.  Read the full AP article here.
